We bleed cougar blue in this house.
Both Trev and I graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo. We look back on our college experience with such joy and nostalgia. It was a time of fun, learning, sports galore, love, enlightenment, spiritual growth, and friendships were made that we still cherish today.
How we LOVE BYU.
And we want our kids to as well. We hope they all can and will attend BYU someday. Here is our reasoning. 1-BYU is a VERY difficult school to get into. They will have to work their tails off in high school to even be considered. Nothing like a goal to keep you motivated. 2-It is our Alma-Mater. We love it, obviously. 3-It is a place that the Spirit can always be felt thanks to the Honor Code the student and faculty abide by. The first time I visited BYU to tour the campus that was the first thing I noticed. The Spirit, cleanliness, and beauty. Something that I realized comes directly from living the Honor Code and always trying to be your best self. 3-It is a VERY good school, at a VERY good price. :) Something that means a lot when you have 4 kids to put through college.
In an attempt to "encourage" them to want to go here and work hard to get there, from the time they were born we have been engaged in a strategic indoctrination and propaganda campaign to cement our love for BYU in their hearts. :) Ranging from concerts and sports, to visits to their museums...and the ultimate kicker...BYU Creamery ice cream and mint brownies.

So far, I think we are succeeding in our plot. :)
This last weekend we took it a step further. Jake went to BYU's Cubs Basketball Camp. He loved it! After the second day we decided to tour the BYU Athletics Hall of Fame.
Then to top it all off, that night our BYU-I girls came down to spend the weekend and Hike to the Y. A Cougar tradition.
Nothing like accomplishing something hard as a family.
We are Cougars. Raising little Cougars. How we love BYU and love that are kids do to.
GO COUGARS!!!!
