Spring Break Finale : 3 Days Fun in the Gilbert sun with Jimenez Family, and All Good Things must come to an End

The next 3 days of our trip were my most anticipated and most enjoyed!  Trev LOVES the national park scene, and I like it too, but if you ask me, this is where I want to be:

See those chairs???  yep. :)  Now that is what I call vacation. :)  This consumed the rest of our trip.  Beach and pool combo.  All day, every day.

Occasionally we took some time out to try our hand at this...

I particularly loved spending precious time with Trev's sister Megan, her hubby Ernesto, the silly boys, Sawyer and Ollie, and their darling princess, Lucy.  They were all so kind to us the whole time we took over their home. :)  Thank you Jimenezes!!!!

We just hung out at their house, played Sonic, rode scooters, went running, ate delicious food, chatted, played games, completely overran their clubhouse where the beach/pool were (see above), etc.  They are truly such a fun little family.  We will miss them so much since they are moving to Washington D.C. in 2 weeks! :(

Or just go visit them... :)

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

After the goodbye's were said, hugs galore, and a promise to see them soon...we started the long 12 hour journey back home.

We were fortunate to be able to listen to General Conference most of the way.  Which was lovely since the kids were occupied and Trev and I were just able to soak in the inspired speakers and spiritual impressions we received.

I think the only real stop we made was at McDonalds about half-way for lunch.  Oh...and Spanish Fork Walmart to get groceries for the next day. :)  Sunday would bring more General Conference talks, hungry siblings of mine, and
the tradition of chocolate biscuits and gravy, and eggs benedict for breakfast. :)

Well...that wraps up our family trip 2013.  Arizona you were good to us.  I especially loved all the bonding that comes from just being together.  Uninterrupted by the pressures of every day life.  Families need this.  Relationships were strengthened.  New adventures were had.  Memories were made.  It was such a great trip!

Now the question becomes...where to next??? :)
