Trying...

So I am trying to make my blog not only up-to-date, but cute too. :) All of you cute bloggers have inspired me...

{Lake and Lollipops}

So for the past 3 weeks straight my babies have been sick. 1st Week - RSV (don't get too scared, they are fine and had been getting booster shots prior, so it seemed like the common cold to me), 2nd Week- A dreadful and disgusting stomach bug that all they did was throw up and have diarrhea for like 5 days! I have never done more laundry in my life!!! :) 3rd week- some sort of eye thing, all I know is that for like a day or two they had that nasty green goop coming out of their eyes and they were so puffy and miserable. :( SOOOO....as you can imagine we have spent a lot of time at home lately trying to not infect anyone else. :) This particular day however, I just had to get out with the kids! Seeing as how we couldn't go anywhere we decided to take a drive. 1st stop - the candy store in Alpine to get lollies, 2nd stop - Tibble Fork Reservoir, just to see it. :) It felt so good to get out, even though we couldn't get out of the car. :) Here are a few pics:

Does it get any better for kids?

Abby abandoning the lolly and sucking on a toy instead. :)

Hamming it up as usual... Funny girl. :)

Is it possible I waited too long to get these kids out?

Priceless... :)
So pretty...love living in Utah where you can see this in just a short 20 minute drive. Amazing...

Still trying to figure out how to post I guess... :)

{ our growing girls

A Colorado Thanksgiving!

This year we did something a little different for Thanksgiving, we left all our Utah families and headed out to Colorado to visit our family out there! :) My super-sweet Aunt Vicky and Uncle Bob live out there with my cousins Jordan and Ryan. We went to stay with them and it was so fun! They are always so sweet and take care of us the whole time. We went out to eat, saw movies, the boys went to a Nuggets game, and the kids loved all the farm stuff! They rode 4 wheelers, rode Sunny (the horse), and got spoiled rotten! It is really neat to see my kids experiencing and enjoying some of the activities that brought me such joy growing up.
I got to see one of my very best friends from high school, Shabi! I love this sweet girl and she is one of the truest friends I have ever had. So glad I got to see her. Another highlight of the weekend was that we all went to Chuck E. Cheese's! I have to say, I am not the biggest fan of that place, but the kids loved it and you couldn't help have a good time. My aunt showed some major prowess in one particular game, she earned TONS of tickets! Too fun! We love our Colorado family and hope to make this a yearly tradition. :)
We also had the opportunity to go to see my grandpa (who is no longer here - so we visited his gravesite). I loved and adored that sweet old man, and I don't have many childhood memories where he was not present. Love you grandpa! While we were there, we got into a "little" snowball fight. :)

Where have we been?

Holidays hit, and of course, everything else took a backseat. It is now February...the busiest month for us and I am taking a moment for myself and spending time on my blog. :) Here is a random sampling of Halloween...Enjoy...if anyone is actually still reading this. :)
Halloween! I love this holiday...so fun and loads of stuff to do! To kick things off we went to Wee Witches Weekend at Gardner Village with my lil sis, Jessica. They had face painting, hay mazes, pony rides, and of course TONS of pumpkins and witches! The kids loved it and I loved all the fun pics. :)

Next came the actual Halloween! :) The costumes went as follows: Morgan -witch, Jake - Cosmo, the BYU cougar mascot, Me and Trev - cheesy basketball stars from a couple decades ago, and the babies - just cute kitty outfits and big orange flowers. :)
